Public safety calls for week of May 3

** Warrants

Warrant service, 11:51 a.m. April 25, 100 block of Northwest Fourth Avenue. Wade Allen Cizek, 58, of Warrenton was arrested on a contempt of court warrant.

** Thefts and burglaries

Attempted theft, 12:18 a.m. April 21, Walmart. Christine Ann Wolcott, 29, of Astoria was arrested on suspicion of attempted theft after she allegedly tried to leave the store without paying for $614 in toys, candy, backpacks and other merchandise.

Shoplifting, 7:05 p.m. April 25, Walmart. Corey Elizabeth Jones, 25, of Astoria was cited for second-degree theft and criminal mischief after she allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $165 in clothes and shoes.

Theft of services, 1:34 p.m. April 26, Fort Stevens State Park hiker/biker camp. A Tillamook man failed to pay for three days of camping.

Stolen license plates, 6:39 p.m. April 27, 500 block Northeast Skipanon Drive. A man pulled over for driving without plates was unaware they’d been stolen from his vehicle while he was at work.

Shoplifting, 11:40 p.m. April 28, Walmart. Kevin Bradley Bibby, 49, of Warrenton was cited for third-degree theft after he allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $15 in clothes.

** Suspicious circumstances/disturbances

Scam, 12:23 p.m. April 23, Hammond RV Park. A man reported receiving a call from someone who claimed to work for the Social Security Administration and claiming a man using his Social Security number was stopped in a van with several pounds of drugs inside.

Trespassing, 2:41 p.m. April 23, Fred Meyer. Marcus Lee Journot, 29, no known address, was arrested on a warrant from Clatsop County Circuit Court and criminal trespassing. He also had a bicycle in his possession that had been reported stolen.

Dog at large, 6:30 p.m. April 23, 0-100 block of Southwest Ninth Street. Owner cited.

Man digging through trash bins, 9:22 p.m. April 25, Warrenton Highlands shopping center. Subject located and advised of city ordinance prohibiting rummaging through trash receptacles.

** Vehicles

Hit and run, 11:21 a.m. April 23, Youngs Bay Plaza.

Hit-and-run vehicle into fence, 1:28 p.m. April 25, 500 block Northwest Date Avenue. Witnesses described the vehicle as a white and gray motorhome, which was located a short distance away. Ashley Marie Johnson, 34, of Seaside was cited for criminal hit-and-run, failure to carry and present a license, driving while suspended and expired license plates.

Rear-end collision, 3:21 pm. April 26, Youngs Bay Bridge. One driver cited for following too closely.

Traffic stop, 9:30 p.m. April 27, 0-100 block East Harbor Drive. Jonathan Edward Walgren, 28, of Seaside was cited for criminal driving while suspended and failure to present a license. He also was cited for driving without insurance.

Drunken driving, 1:47 a.m. April 28, East Harbor Drive at Galena Avenue. Christopher Lacombafebus, 24, of Astoria was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was booked at Clatsop County Jail, where his blood-alcohol content was recorded at 0.13 percent.

Traffic stop, 4:44 a.m. April 30, Harbor Drive at Highway 101. Driver cited for driving while suspended.
