Three watercolor artists – Gheri Fouts, Linda Gebhart, and Linda Wyss -- are featured through May at Trails End Gallery, 656 A St., Gearhart.

A reception for the artists is set for 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at the gallery. Show hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through May 30.

Fouts was raised in Chicago. After teaching science and math, she found the opportunity to pursue her passion for art. She has shown her paintings at Trail’s End, Astoria Visual Arts Association, and the Cannon Beach Arts Association. She also teaches workshops and classes.

Gebhart taught math at the junior high, high school and community college level for 25 years in the Portland area. After retiring, she began painting seascapes, architecture and landscapes, recycling material for matting and framing. She teaches watercolor seascape classes for Trail’s End as well as Cannon Beach Arts.

Wyss is a Portland native who moved to the coast in 2001, intending to further her career in hospitality management. Instead, she began a second one with the state as a business and employment specialist until her retirement in 2017. Inspired by beginning watercolor classes taught by Gebhart and Fouts, she joined Trails End Art Association two and half years ago.
