Astoria Pride '21 starts Friday

Astoria Pride 2021, an event celebrating individuality and the LGBTIQ community, kicks off tonight and runs throughout the weekend.

Some events will be held virtually and some in drive-by fashion, but most of the events will be live and in-person.

Friday: A limited-ticket reception for those 21 and older is from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Barbey Maritime Center next to Columbia River Maritime Museum.

Saturday: A treasure hunt at area businesses, noon to 5 p.m. at the Lower Columbia Q Center, 171 W. Bond St.; Pride Party with live entertainment, 1 to 7 p.m. in the Fort George Beer Garden; Pride Drive-In, 9 p.m. to midnight, parking lot off 22nd Street near Columbia Memorial Hospital.

Sunday: Church services hosted by Pacific Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 11 a.m. via Zoom; and Pride Barbecue, 1 to 3 p.m. at the Barbey center.
