Thefts and burglaries

Burglary, 4:13 p.m. June 25, 100 block Northeast Harbor Court. The owner of a business reported $995 in power tools and 20-volt batteries was stolen.

Shoplifting, 10:24 p.m. June 25, Walmart. Jonathan B. Lambert, 34, of Astoria was cited for second-degree theft and criminal trespassing after he allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $133 in merchandise, including an automotive battery.

Shoplifting, 5:40 p.m. June 26, Walmart. Dawn C. Davis, 55, of Long Beach, Wash., was cited for third-degree theft and criminal mischief after she allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $30 in clothes.

Man using knife to cut off tags, 6:56 p.m. June 27, Walmart. Margo A. Welch, 58, of Canby was cited for third-degree theft and criminal mischief after she allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for a flashlight and PopSocket. Sidney Arnold Erickson, 74, of Newberg was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft, criminal mischief, methamphetamine possession, carrying a concealed weapon and being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon. The value of the merchandise was $27.

Shoplifting, 7:38 p.m. June 27, Walmart. Jessica L. Herring, 30, of Astoria was cited for third-degree theft, criminal mischief and criminal trespassing after she allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $63 in groceries and shoes.

Traffic

Traffic stop, 4:17 p.m. June 22, Southwest Second Street near Alder Avenue. Driver cited for driving while suspended and having no insurance.

Two-vehicle collision with property damage and possible injury, 12:47 p.m. June 25, South Main Avenue at Ninth Street. A 32-year-old woman from St. Helens was cited for running a stop sign and having no insurance. Both cars were damaged as was a stop sign and fence.

Collision with injuries, 8:49 p.m. June 25, Northwest Warrenton Drive at Ninth Street. A northbound driver turned into the path of an oncoming car, which attempted to avoid a collision by swerving onto the shoulder. The vehicle struck a fence and went airborne before coming to rest against a house. Kelli Fulton Buoy, 41, and passenger, Albert Burkleo, 40, both of Hammond, were taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital for treatment of possible injuries. Christopher J. Guelde, 20, of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., was cited for failing to yield the right of way.

Two-vehicle collision, no injuries, 6:09 p.m. June 27, Pacific Drive in Hammond.

Traffic stop, 9 a.m. June 28, Southwest Ninth Street and Ridge Road. Seth T. Morgan, 26, of Astoria was cited for criminal driving while suspended.

Traffic stop, 1:10 p.m. June 28, Alternate Highway 101 at Ensign Lane. Kevin L. Wilson, 56, of Astoria was cited for criminal failure to carry and present a license, driving while suspended and having no insurance.

Vehicle struck building, 1:19 p.m. June 28, T.J. Maxx. A 73-year-old Astoria woman attempting to park struck a portion of the building.
