Consider volunteering at tourist center

By Diane Collier, Chair, Warrenton Chamber of Commerce and Museum, Friday, August 10, 2018

Do you look at the clock every morning and wonder, “Why do I have to get up”? If you do, volunteer with us at the Tourist Information Center and Warrenton Museum in the Ross and Rite Aid parking lot.

We visit daily with lots of nice individuals from all over the states, Canada and Europe. It’s important to know where Fort Stevens and Fort Clatsop are as well as the closest laundromats and the liquor stores. Our time is well spent visiting, drinking free coffee and eating free muffins.

Just a little while ago, I visited with a man and his daughter from New Mexico. We talked about Billy the Kid, the Mariners and the College Baseball World Series.

If you are interested, we need volunteers for Thursday, Friday and Saturday (take your pick) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call Diane at 503-861-2450 or Carol at 503-861-1443.
