Drunken boating, 3:35 p.m. Feb. 14, Hammond Mooring Basin. Ian Michael Wood, 40, of Aberdeen, Wash., was booked at Clatsop County Jail on suspicion of boating under the influence of intoxicants, providing false information to a police officer for arrest on a warrant and a Clatsop County warrant for failing to appear on a drunken driving charge. His blood-alcohol content was recorded at 0.255 percent.

Shoplifting, 7:49 p.m. Feb. 14, Fred Meyer. Nancy Ellen Eddy, 63, of Astoria was arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft after she attempted to leave the store with $167 worth of groceries. She was released pending a court hearing.


Theft of electricity, 10:41 p.m. Feb. 6, 1400 block Discovery Lane. A transient was using electricity from a business to recharge his 12-volt battery, another battery charger and a flashlight.

Stolen vehicle, 12:40 p.m. Feb. 7, 91900 block Highway 104. A new vehicle was taken off the lot at Lum’s Auto and found on a gravel road in dense brush by someone walking in the area.

Theft, 3:03 p.m. Feb. 12, 900 block King Salmon Place, Hammond. $1,500 in cash stolen from file box.

Suspicious circumstances/Disturbances

Trespassing, 1:11 p.m. Feb. 7, 600 block Gray Street, Hammond. Man walking his dog brought the dog into the yard to visit with a dog tied up in the yard.

Missing recycling bin, 3:30 p.m. Feb. 7, 500 block Harbor Drive.

Malicious mischief, 7:30 a.m. Feb. 13, 0-100 block Southwest Main Court. Vehicle egged.

Fraud, 12:33 p.m. Feb. 13, 1300 block South Main Avenue. Man reports a collection agency told him he owes $725 for Internet services at an address in Michigan, where he hasn’t lived since he was 10 years old.

Malicious mischief, 7:30 a.m. Feb. 13, 0-100 block Southwest Main Court. Vehicle egged again.

Two-vehicle noninjury collision, 8:50 p.m. Feb. 16, 700 block E Harbor Drive.
