** Burglaries and thefts

Vehicle burglary, 1:33 p.m. Oct. 17, 1400 block Discovery Lane. Surveillance video shows subjects in a tan four-door vehicle stole a briefcase set beside a vehicle.

Fraudulent use of a credit card, 10:55 a.m. Oct. 29, 500 block West Harbor Street.

Burglary, 1:25 p.m. Nov. 5, soccer fields on Ridge Road. Equipment shed burglarized and $1,200 in materials taken.

Shoplifting, 5:38 p.m. Nov. 5, Walmart. Nathalia Alvarez Valderrama, 26, of Kelso, Wash., was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft.

Theft of cans, 6:11 p.m. Nov. 5, 800 block Northeast First Court.

Stolen vehicle, 6:40 p.m. Nov. 7, Costco parking lot. A man reported his white 1999 Ford F150 pickup filled with landscaping tools was stolen while he was shopping.

** Suspicious circumstances/disturbances

Trespassing, 4:51 p.m. Nov. 1, Dike Road, Port of Astoria property. A man and woman were trespassed from port property.

Animal neglect, 8:23 p.m. Nov. 1, Dairy Queen. A dog belonging to residents of a homeless camp was running loose and jumping on cars in the parking lot. The dog has been picked up running loose or without food, water or shelter three times in the past six months.

Trespassing/transient camps, 2 p.m. Nov. 2, Highway 101 near Marlin Avenue. Two sites with tents were found with garbage strewn about, but no people were found.

Trespassing, 5:50 p.m. Nov. 2, Goodwill. Lori Ann Lagerquist, 26, with no known address, was arrested for second-degree criminal trespassing.

Couple who’d been asked to leave transient camp have returned, 11:32 p.m. Nov. 2, behind Dairy Queen. Patrick Ray Carlson, 30, of Warrenton was arrested on an outstanding warrant, for being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon and for carrying a concealed weapon.

Trespassing, 3:29 a.m. Nov. 3, Youngs Bay Plaza. Jared C. Cupit, 43, no known address, was cited for criminal second-degree trespassing.

Disturbance, 7:40 p.m. Nov. 3, Shilo Inn. Cassandra R. Young, 18, of Warrenton was arrested on suspicion of being a minor in possession of alcohol by consumption and being a minor in possession of marijuana.

Online dating scam, 9:05 p.m. Nov. 3, 800 block Pacific Drive. A 39-year-old man reports he’d made arrangements to date a 23-year-old woman he met through an online dating site. She sent nude photos and then a man called to say the woman was actually younger than 18 and he was going to be arrested for having child porn if he didn’t pay an extortion. Astoria police took an identical report the same day.

Criminal mischief, 11:20 a.m. Nov. 4, 1100 block Northwest Warrenton Drive. Drug paraphernalia found and many areas in men’s bathroom had been burned or otherwise damaged.

Domestic disturbance, 10:14 a.m. Nov. 5, 1900 block South Main Avenue. David Walter Moon, 50, of Warrenton was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a handgun.

Found drug paraphernalia, 10:38 a.m. Nov. 5, 1100 block Northwest Warrenton Drive.

Disturbance, 9:51 p.m. Nov. 5, 1600 block Southeast Honeysuckle Loop. William A. Ingram, 32, of Warrenton was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

Suspicious circumstances, 2:48 a.m. Nov. 6, bay waterfront. Zane Cruz Belshe, 56, no known address, was arrested on suspicion of providing false information to police and for an outstanding warrant.

City property code violations, 11:20 a.m. Nov. 8, 1000 block Northwest Warrenton Drive. A resident was cited for allowing an attractive nuisance, scattering rubbish and having a property filled with junk.

** Vehicles

Drunken driving, 7:57 p.m. Nov. 2, Northwest Warrenton Drive at Northwest 17th Street. Leonard Henry Brown, 50, of Warrenton was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants and refusing to take a breath test. A blood draw was taken.

Drunken driving, 11:20 p.m. Nov. 2, South Main Avenue at Whiskey Road. Lon Dayton Hill, 39, of Warrenton was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants. His blood-alcohol content was recorded at 0.16 percent.

Running a stop sign, 6:16 a.m. Nov. 3, South Main Avenue at Harbor Drive. Driver cited.

Traffic stop, 10:30 p.m. Nov. 3, Highway 101 at Harbor Drive. Driver cited for having no valid operator’s license.

Traffic stop, 11:09 p.m. Nov. 3, Ensign Lane at Highway 101. Driver cited for driving while suspended.

Using cell phone while driving, 3 p.m. Nov. 3, Highway 101 at Neptune. Driver cited.

Vehicle vs. pedestrians, 3 p.m. Nov. 5, Fred Meyer. A 60-year-old Long Beach, Wash., woman was driving through the parking lot when she saw an open spot and began backing up, striking a young Astoria woman carrying her 3-year-old child. The mother and child were taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Two-vehicle collision with injuries, 3:04 p.m. Nov. 5, 600 block South Highway 101.

Speeding, 10:04 p.m. Nov. 7, Highway 101 at Alternate Highway 101. Driver cited for going 64 in a 45 mph zone.

Two-vehicle noninjury collision, 2:41 p.m. Nov. 8, Young’s Bay Bridge. Passenger Edward Obryan Harrison, 30, of Portland was booked at Clatsop County Jail for interfering with a police officer.

Traffic stop, 10:30 p.m. Nov. 8, Highway 101 at Ensign Lane. Driver cited for failing to carry proof of insurance.

Speeding, 5:25 a.m. Nov. 9, Highway 101 at Alternate Highway 101. Driver cited for going 65 in a 45 mph zone.

Single-vehicle rollover, no injuries, 4:59 p.m. Nov. 11, one mile north of Delaura Beach Approach.

Smoke in residence, 5:18 p.m. Nov. 5, 500 block Northwest Ridge Road.

Smoke alarm going off in garage, 6:51 p.m. Nov. 5, 100 block Southeast 14th Street.

Fire alarm going off, 4:37 p.m. Nov. 8, 2200 block Southeast Salal Loop.

Provide mutual aid for wildland fire, 5:55 p.m. Nov. 11, Simmons Ridge off Highway 202 in Olney.

Female who feels faint, 11:53 p.m. Nov. 5, 800 block Fifth Avenue.

Female having seizures, 12:55 p.m. Nov. 6, 90500 block Clark Drive.

Male who amputated his genitals, 3:31 p.m. Nov. 7, 200 block Tyee Street.

Male with kidney stone, 4:10 p.m. Nov. 7, 33200 block Sunset Beach Lane.

Male with possible hypothermia, 1:46 a.m. Nov. 9, behind 1400 Southeast Discovery Lane.

Male who almost passed out, 9:18 a.m. Nov. 9, 0-100 block North Highway 101.

Intoxicated female, 3:04 a.m. Nov. 10, Shilo Inn.

Male with abdominal pain, 11:44 a.m. Nov. 10, 1900 block Third Avenue.

Female who fell outside store, 3:40 p.m. Nov. 10, 100 block South Highway 101.

Female fall patient, 8:31 p.m. Nov. 11, 200 block Southwest Birch Court.
