Warrant, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 24, 1500 block South Main Avenue. Caleb Daniel Connell, 30, of Warrenton was arrested on a probation warrant and released pending a court appearance.


Theft of package, 10:20 a.m. Feb. 22, 0-100 block Southwest Birch Court. Man reports a package delivered by FedEx was stolen off his front porch.

Theft from vehicle, 1:14 p.m. Feb. 23, 1200 block Third Avenue, Hammond. Man reports theft of a tool box, drill with charger and deck screws valued at $130.

Suspicious circumstances/disturbances

Possible drug activity, 4:30 p.m. Feb. 12, restrooms at Kampers West. Male subject could not be located and no signs of drug usage were found.

Trespassing, 10:01 a.m. Feb. 16, 900 block Southwest Cedar Drive. Christopher Todd Anderson, 50, of Astoria was cited for criminal trespassing.

Check fraud, 2:40 p.m. Feb. 16, Warrenton Mini Mart. Man used a phony check to purchase a gift card. Damaged telephone wire box, 10:30 p.m. Feb. 19, Warrenton High School.

Suspicious items found on vehicles, 7 a.m. Feb. 21, Trina and Ron’s Bar & Grill. Turned out to be a prank by an employee.

Disturbance, 4:38 p.m. Feb. 22, 500 block Northwest Ridge Road. Medics called to treat a male assault victim. James Harold McCoubrey, 29, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

Found bicycle, 9:30 a.m. Feb. 23, Costco.

Drug paraphernalia and hazardous waste left in campground restrooms, 11:15 a.m. Feb. 23, Fort Stevens State Park.

Dog bite, 10:01 p.m. Feb. 23, 700 block Fifth Avenue, Hammond. A man reported the mixed-breed dog he recently adopted from the shelter bit him twice, leaving bite marks and drawing blood. Animal taken to shelter for quarantine.

Dogs at large, 4:29 p.m. Feb. 24, Fred Meyer loading area.

Vehicle in Hammond Mooring basin after hours, 10:33 p.m. Feb. 25. Amorous couple asked to move along.


Two-vehicle collision, 8:45 p.m. Feb. 15, Harbor Drive at Galena Street. One driver cited for following too closely.

Vehicle vs. bicycle, 5:15 p.m. Feb. 16, Harbor Drive near King Street. Two witnesses identified a man walking from the scene as the man who had ridden a bicycle into oncoming traffic. Donald Curtis Castle, 47, of Astoria denied riding the bike. He was taken to the hospital for a health check and became combative with health workers. He was arrested on suspicion of second-degree disorderly conduct.

Traffic stop, 4:20 p.m. Feb. 19, Marlin Avenue at Highway 101. Driver cited for driving uninsured.

Vehicle off the road, noninjury, 9:53 a.m. Feb. 20, Peter Iredale parking lot Fort Stevens.

Traffic stop, 12:25 p.m. Feb. 20, four-way stop. Driver cited for driving while suspended.

Two-vehicle noninjury collision, 2:05 p.m. Feb. 21, Fred Meyer parking lot near gas pumps.

Traffic stop, 8:30 a.m. Feb. 23, Ridge Road near soccer fields. Driver cited for driving while suspended.

Speeding, 8:50 a.m. Feb. 23, Ridge Road near Parkview apartments. Driver cited for going 63 in a 45 mph zone.

Two-vehicle noninjury collision, 10 a.m. Feb. 23, parking lot at Warrenton Kia.

Traffic stop, 5:40 p.m. Feb. 24, Highway 101 at Neptune. Driver cited for failing to obey a traffic control device and driving without insurance.

Traffic stop, 9:15 p.m. Feb. 25, Ensign Lane at Highway 101. Driver cited for having no insurance.

Traffic stop, 11 p.m. Feb. 25, four-way stop. Driver cited for failing to obey a traffic control device.

Vehicle slid off road under icy conditions, noninjury, 4:14 a.m. Feb. 26, Highway 101 at west end of Youngs Bay Bridge.

Male with possible allergic reaction, 7:24 p.m. Feb. 19, 1600 block Southeast Ensign Lane.

Female possible suicide attempt, 10:06 a.m. Feb. 20, 300 block Lake Drive.

Male with possible seizure, 10:23 a.m. Feb. 20, 1000 block King Salmon Place.

Male exposed to cold, 8:50 p.m. Feb. 21, Warrenton Police Department.

Female with loss of consciousness, 2:27 p.m. Feb. 25, 100 block South Highway 101.

Female fall patient, 2:41 p.m. Feb. 25, 90900 block Highway 101.

Female who’s dizzy and not feeling well, 9:16 p.m. Feb. 25, Clatsop Behavioral Respite Center.
