** Warrants

Warrant service, 6:36 p.m. Dec. 17, Youngs Bay Bridge. Chanse Laynce Reece, 55, of Warrenton was arrested on a Tillamook County Circuit Court warrant.

** Drug charges

Traffic stop, 12:22 a.m. Dec. 16, South Main Avenue at First Street. Nathanial E. Richcreek, 40, of Warrenton was cited for criminal driving while suspended. A passenger, a 27-year-old woman from Rosburg, Wash., was cited for permitting an unlawful driver to operate her vehicle. Officers called for a canine unit, which made a sweep of the car. Canine Gabe located just over 11 grams of suspected methamphetamine and cash in the pocket of a coat. Paula Ann Floyd, 53, of Seaside, another passenger, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance.

** Thefts and burglaries

Shoplifting, 1:56 p.m. Dec. 6, Fred Meyer. Frank K. Nimz, 37, with no known address, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft and criminal mischief after he attempted to leave the store without paying for $230 in electronics and speakers.

Stolen motorcycle found, 11:35 a.m. Dec. 12, 1000 block Southeast Marlin Avenue. A 2013 Hysong 250-cc motorcycle that had been recovered from a crash scene was taken in an earlier theft.

Burglary, Dec. 14, Shilo Inn. A man staying in the hotel while his apartment was being repaired reported several items missing from the hotel room over several months.

Shoplifting, 8:30 p.m. Dec 14, Walmart. Surina R. Thompson, 37, and Austin E. Taylor, 34, both of Astoria, were each cited for third-degree theft and criminal mischief after allegedly attempting to leave the store without paying for $64 in lighters, DVDs and food.

Shoplifting, 8:10 p.m. Dec. 15, Walmart. Richard John Sherbon, 53, of Puyallup, Wash., was cited for third-degree theft and criminal mischief when he allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for a $40 keyboard.

Theft by fraud, 2 p.m. Dec. 19, 600 block Marlin Ave. A 67-year-old Warrenton woman was informed by her bank that she was the victim of a secret-shopper scam involving bogus paychecks and the requirement that she purchase $1,100 in gift cards.

Burglary, 12:29 p.m. Dec. 20, 1000 block Pacific Drive, Hammond. Someone entered a business through an unlocked back door and stole a $1,200 Stihl chainsaw and a $150 Makita cordless drill from an inside room.

Shoplifting, 3:40 p.m. Dec. 20, Walgreens. Clarissa Lynn Moore, 30, of Seaside and Conrad Allyn Weirup, 39, of Astoria both were found to have probation warrants and were booked at Clatsop County Jail.

** Suspicious circumstances/disturbances

Disorderly conduct, 6:42 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Dec. 13, North Coast Crisis Respite Center. Robert Brett Smalley, 54, with no known address, was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and, later, for criminal trespassing.

Suspicious vehicle with someone sleeping inside, 10:51 a.m. Dec. 15, Northwest Cedar Avenue at First Street. Keisha Marie Jones, 27, of Long Beach, Wash., was arrested on a felony warrant from Clatsop County Sheriff’s Office.

** Vehicles

Hit-and-run with property damage, 2:26 p.m. Dec. 7, Home Depot parking lot.

Vehicle vs. deer, 1:10 p.m. Dec. 14, Highway 101 at Alternate Highway 101. The driver was taken by ambulance to Columbia Memorial Hospital after complaining of pain.

Two-vehicle rear-end collision, one minor injury, 1:32 p.m. Dec 14, Highway 101 at Marlin Avenue. Traffic stop, 12:06 p.m. Dec. 15, Highway 101 at Ensign Lane. Driver cited for driving without insurance.

Traffic stop, 9:54 p.m. Dec. 15, Alternate Highway 101 at South Main Avenue. Driver cited for driving without insurance.

Speeding, 11:15 p.m. Dec. 15, Highway 101 at Alternate Highway 101. Driver cited for going 62 in a 45 mph zone.

Traffic stop, 11:29 p.m. Dec. 15, Highway 101 at Harbor Drive. Driver cited for driving without insurance.

Traffic stop, 11:40 p.m. Dec 15, South Main Avenue at Third Street. Driver cited for driving while suspended and failing to carry and present a license.

Hit-and-run with property damage, 8:08 a.m. Dec. 6, Walmart parking lot. Robert William Perry, 34, of Seaside struck a pole and allegedly failed to report it. He was cited for criminal failure to perform the duties of a driver, driving while suspended and driving without insurance.

Vehicle vs. elk, 11:42 p.m. Dec. 16, North Main Avenue at Northwest Fourth Street. A 22-year-old passenger in a car was injured when an elk charged the vehicle and jumped onto the hood, causing major damage to the Toyota Prius. The car had stopped to allow a herd of elk to cross the road when a female elk suddenly turned and decided to walk up the vehicle, falling on the windshield, then climbing off and walking away, police said.

Traffic stop, 6:41 p.m. Dec. 17, Highway 101 at Youngs Bay Bridge. Driver cited for having no insurance.

Running a stop sign, 5:47 a.m. Dec. 21, Harbor Drive at South Main Avenue. Driver cited for having no valid operator’s license and for failing to obey a traffic-control device.
