'Vagina Monologues' comes to CCC

Friday, March 9, 2018

“The Vagina Monologues” will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday, March 9, and Saturday, March 10, in Clatsop Community College’s Royal Nebeker Gallery.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door. The play introduces a divergent gathering of female voices, including a 6-year-old girl, a septuagenarian, a woman who witnesses the birth of her granddaughter, a Bosnian rape survivor and a feminist happy to have found a man who “liked to look at it.”

Promoters say it will be an evening of laughter, tears and envelope-pushing and is part of Women’s History Month. Proceeds benefit The Harbor Advocacy Center.

The play is directed by Mindy Stokes, director of CCC’s Lives in Transition Program and Women’s Studies faculty.
