Public safety calls for week of Feb. 1

** Thefts and burglaries

Forgery and theft, 2 p.m., Jan 17. Mark Daniel Crouch, 37, of Warrenton was cited for two counts of criminal second-degree theft and two counts of second-degree forgery for cashing bad checks at Columbia Bank on Jan. 9 and Walmart on Jan. 8.

Shoplifting, 9:10 p.m. Jan. 17, Walmart. Elizabeth Lee Elledge, 27, and Nicholas Ryan Garrett, 28, both of Warrenton, were cited for criminal third-degree theft and third-degree criminal mischief after attempting to leave the store without paying for $105 in food.

Shoplifting, 1:34 p.m. Jan. 19, Rite Aid. An unidentified male in his 20s left the store without paying for $34 in merchandise. After reviewing surveillance footage, the suspect was identified by officers and he was found at Clatsop County Jail, booked on unrelated charges three hours after the theft. Devin Michael Fields, 26, of Warrenton was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft and third-degree criminal mischief.

Stolen bicycle, 9:22 p.m. Jan. 19, 300 block Southwest Main Court. A $300 Road Master bicycle was taken from the front of an apartment.

Stolen bicycle, 2:26 p.m. Jan. 20, 500 block Pacific Drive. A black mountain bike with gold lettering valued at $200 was stolen from outside an apartment.

Shoplifting, 5:27 p.m. Jan. 21, Walmart. Izaak Daniel Cerrillo Zavala, 20, and a 17-year-old male, both students at Tongue Point Job Corps, were cited for criminal second-degree theft and third-degree criminal mischief after they allegedly took $215 in athletic shoes and gaming accessories and attempted to leave the store without paying.

Vehicle burglary, 1:37 p.m. Jan. 22, Robinson Community Park. A cab/shuttle driver stated someone entered his vehicle and took $200 cash from a bank bag.

Auto theft, 12:22 p.m. Jan. 24, 200 block Tyee Street. A light blue four-door 2000 Honda Civic was stolen from in front of a residence.

** Suspicious circumstances/disturbances

Heroin overdose, 4:15 pm. Jan. 18, 500 block Southwest First Place. A 26-year-old Astoria man was found with a possible overdose in a restroom at the home. Narcan, a nasal spray that can help reverse the effects of an overdose, was administered. He refused further medical treatment.

Telephone scam, 2:10 p.m. Jan. 18, 400 block Northwest Warrenton Drive. A couple received two threatening phone calls demanding payment on a loan settled six years earlier.

Trespassing, 6:17 p.m. Jan. 20, Rite Aid. Joseph W. Blackler was arrested on suspicion of criminal trespassing.

Dog bite, 3:58 p.m. Jan. 21, 500 block Southwest Harbor Place. An Australian shepherd bit a 13-year-old boy riding his bike, requiring medical attention. The dog was quarantined at the animal shelter.

Verbal disturbance, 12:55 p.m. Jan. 23, 1600 block Honeysuckle Loop. Troy Allen Ingram, 55, of Seaside was arrested on a warrant out of Polk County.

Trespassing, 8 p.m. Jan 24, Fred Meyer. Marvel Louise Williams, 34, with no known address, was arrested on warrants from Clatsop County Sheriff’s Office and Warrenton Police Department.

Rear-end collision, 3:45 p.m. Jan. 16, Harbor Drive at Ensign Lane. One driver cited for following too closely.

Vehicle vs. curb and traffic sign, 8:10 p.m. Jan. 17, Highway 101 at Highway 105.

Fender-bender, 4:10 p.m. Jan. 19, Fred Meyer parking lot.

Traffic stop, 11:23 p.m. Jan. 19, Ridge Road at Ninth St. Driver cited for driving while suspended.

Speeding, 4:29 p.m. Jan. 20, Ridge Road at soccer fields. Driver cited for going 70 in a 45 mph zone.

Running a stoplight, 3:38 p.m. Jan. 21, Highway 101 at Harbor Drive. Driver cited.

Drunken driving, 4:25 p.m. Jan. 21, Highway 101 at Neptune Drive. Edward J. Osterman III, 48, of Long Beach, Wash., was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Two-vehicle noninjury collision, 8:58 a.m. Jan. 22, Walmart.

Two-vehicle noninjury collision, noon, Jan. 22, Northwest Seventh Place and Northwest Warrenton Drive. One driver cited for failing to obey a stop sign.

Two-vehicle noninjury collision 3:46 p.m. Jan. 22, Highway 101 at the Premarq Center. One driver cited for running a stoplight.

Traffic stop, 8:10 a.m. Jan. 23, Northwest First Street at North Main Avenue. Driver cited for failing to install his ignition interlock.

Hit-and-run, 12:12 p.m. Jan. 23, Fred Meyer parking lot.

Two-vehicle noninjury collision, 3:39 p.m. Jan. 23, Highway 101 at Southeast Marlin Avenue.

Three-vehicle noninjury collision, 5:47 p.m. Jan. 23, Young’s Bay Bridge. One driver was cited for following too closely.

Three-vehicle noninjury collision, 6:44 p.m. Jan. 23, Young’s Bay Bridge. One driver was cited for following too closely.

Traffic stop, 2:39 p.m. Jan. 24, Harbor Drive at Galena Avenue. James D. Hall, 58, of Vancouver, Wash., was cited for criminal failure to carry and present a license, using a cell phone while driving and driving without a license.

Traffic stop, 3:27 p.m. Jan. 24, Fourth Avenue at King Salmon Place. Jeremy J. Hudak, 34, of Hammond was cited for criminal failure to carry and present a license, driving while suspended, driving without insurance and failing to use a seatbelt.

Speeding, 4:02 p.m. Jan. 24, Ridge Road at KOA. Driver cited for going 69 in a 45 mph zone and for driving without insurance.
